Your Speaker ticket includes free entry to the Penguin Dinner and to the Speakers' Dinner. If you requested and were granted accommodation, we'll be looking after this for you, but if not you will need to book and pay for your accommodation. https://linux.conf.au/register/accommodation Accommodation in hotels will be tight during the period of the conference, so I encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. Your Speaker Information Pack is a detailed guide to the conference audience, venue and how to deliver a great presentation. It is available on the Conference Wiki at; https://linux.conf.au/wiki/Information_for_Speakers (We'll be making available presentation templates at a later stage). If there's anything else we can assist with at this time, please don't hesitate to let me know, With kind regards, Kathy Reid Speaker Liaison -- Kathy Reid @linuxconfau | #lca2016 linux.conf.au 2016 Geelong - LCA By the Bay http://www.lcabythebay.org.au +61 418 130 636 From speakers at lcabythebay.org.au Sat Oct 10 14:08:27 2015 From: speakers at lcabythebay.org.au (Kathy Reid - Speaker Liaison, linux.conf.au 2016 Geelong - LCA By the Bay) Date: Sat, 10 Oct 2015 14:08:27 +1100 Subject: [Miniconfs] It's time to register for #lca2016 | Speaker Information Pack In-Reply-To: <561870F6.8020508@lcabythebay.org.au> References: <561870F6.8020508@lcabythebay.org.au> Message-ID: <5618812B.6020501@lcabythebay.org.au> s/Speaker Ticket/Miniconf Organiser ticket For Miniconf Organisers, choose 'Miniconf Organiser' ticket type :-) Apologies for the oversight, Best, K. Some of you are already cracking on with your Miniconf CfPs - good work. For those who are yet to announce your CfPs, when you do, just let me know and I will get them added to this page on the conference site; https://linux.conf.au/programme/miniconfs If you'd like space at all on the conference Wiki I'm also very happy to create space here; https://linux.conf.au/wiki/Main_Page (under a suitable structure) We're working on getting a list of rejected proposals to you as a starting point - apologies for the delay in this, unfortunately it's a raw DB export, not a nice push the button exercise :( We have a number of brand new Miniconf Orgs this year - Welcome Aboard! If you're stuck on anything just let me know, but essentially what you need to be working on is; - a CfP for presentations for your Miniconf (can be anywhere, your choice) - if you need a few day tickets for your Miniconf Speakers (who need to either be registered Delegates for the full conference, or have a day ticket for your Miniconf) let me know and I can issue voucher codes - putting together a schedule for your Miniconf [*] - working with your Miniconf Speakers to make sure their presentations are going well [*] Please observe the break times in the Schedule. Several keyboards were slaughtered in the production of the Schedule in ZooKeepr and we wouldn't want them to have been sacrificed in vain ;-) As always, let me know if there's any thing we can assist with.
